Are you folks still using LC20? I'm thinking on going to a blend like Maxlife or Motorcraft in our CRV with 10K intervals. I just don't know if a blend would handle those intervals without doing a uoa. Of course I want to keep things clean.

A blend with LC20 would be cheaper for me in the long run.

Thanks

LC20 or not, you need a UOA. Dont use a chemical to avoid the evidence of what is acceptable.

All the same, yes, absolutely I still use it mixed with schaeffers #132. Its a great blend.

What ratio for the mix are you using? Thanks!

~3:1 eyeballed of LC20 to 132. It cuts the viscosity of the 132, and is easy to mix. Usually I dose about 8 oz into a fresh sump of oil. I top up with just LC20 typically if Im doing a maintenance dose.

Yes, as my cars seldomly have OCIs that align to the seasons. The LC20 sufficiently offsets the 132 viscosity that I dont worry a bit about it.

I use it all the time in my 2 vehicles. Been doing it for years. Looking in the oil fill the heads are supper clean, not even varnish. My car goes 8500+ mile OCI's, been using up the Schaeffer blend I bought years ago. It's rated SL. My truck goes 5000 OCI's using Motorcraft 5W-20.
