Is Kirkland Signature 0w20 a super high quality full synthetic oil?

You should go to the Montmorency Tart Cherry forum. The debate over anthocyanins and their benefits on arthritis and inflammation of all sorts is never ending . Or does it contain enough lycopene to be benficial in cancer prevention. Do 5 fresh red tart cherries really have the same effect on inflamation as a 325mg aspirin.

These are all highly important discussions. NOT

Yes, I have drank 100% Montmorency Tart Cherry juice for about 15 years. At age 67 I have very few aches and pains.

I love the internet. I have no idea how I ever got by without the internet. You had to actually find real live, walking, talking, and breathing human beings to argue about laundry detergent with. It was so hard! THANK YOU AL GORE FOR INVENTING THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!
Be careful mentioning Al Snore. You may offend someone. But you are right. We should thank him.

There are a few others. The Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) is Toyota’s largest vehicle manufacturing plant in the world, capable of producing 550,000 vehicles and more than 600,000 engines annually. Then, there are various Kentucky bourbons! Don't mix these two mentions! :)

I been aquainted with a few of those Kentucky bourbons. They R great.

200k miles with both oils, depending on current price of either one at the change, via OCI on a 2.4 Chevy and a '99 5.7 Yukon each. Never even had a valve cover off either motor, zero engine issues, even OEM T chain and actuators still in the 2.4 and sold both running fine at that 200k mileage.
All I use in my GM fleet, 5-30w flavor.

I noticed on Monday that inventory of all the flavors of Kirkland oil seemed high at our local store. Perhaps supply vs demand has stabilized and a discount sale is imminent ? Its still a great deal at $29.99 for 2 jugs but at this point in my retired life a sale is almost a requirement for me to purchase.

I think of it this way. Do I want a motor oil that "meets a certain spec" or "exceeds a certain spec"? However; I think Kirkland Signature is a great oil. Every application is different. Weather conditions, engine design, and driver. Just a thought!

Anything Kirkland Signature is good!

I would rather have the product certified to the spec. All of them exceed the spec minimums in many ways during testing and certifocation that include engine and bench sequence testing. some brands just use it as a way to price tier their own products, who is to say as a business they are simply derating the lesser tiered formulations (reducing key components and substituting bases when tested)to show a performance gap in their line?

Something good had to come from Kentucky!
Sure wasn't Mitch McConnell

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but has anyone seen these recently? I haven't seen Kirkland motor oil in the warehouses for almost a year now. Only see Mobil 1.

I think Kirkland is fine. I would use the 5w30 synthetic in a DI engine spec 0w20 as I don't think fuel dilution would let the 0w20 hold up for longer than 3-5k miles. I could care less it's Dexos as that just another scam by GM to suck money out of oil manufacturers.

The word is out because someone broke into my garage and stole my used Kirkland 5W-30 jugs. It HAS to be super if the thieves are breaking in and stealing my used stash.

Ouch. Our local Costco has boxes upon boxes of Kirkland oil in 5w30 and 0w20.

Are they the 6 quart boxes or are they larger

Not about Kirklands... I bet this is no surprise to BIOG folks. Our Walmart Auto section shelves are getting more bare each trip in the store.
Even if I don't need anything I always end up crusing the auto section while the wife shops elsewhere. The main oils we still have on
our sheves are Mobile1 / Royal Purple and Castrol. Very little of Valvoline or any other brands. Even WalMart brand is vanishing very
fast.
