PUP 5W-30 observations - Getting darker and burning faster than Kirkland?

my old camry would drink pennzoil platinum.
but it held on to mobil and quaker state products

try Royal Purple HMX high milage oil,it sure worked in a friends car,the oil consumption is much better after he was using Bobile 1, and his mpg improved !

Sounds like Kirkland did great for your first two OCIs.
Half a quart in 4000 miles certainly nothing to worry about.
FWIW 12 pack of quarts is currently on sale for easy maintenance top ups, 2.90 per qt.
Enjoy your car and don't overthink it that thing will run a quarter million miles.

How much did it improve? The same grade?

he was burning 1/2 qt about 1k with 5w-30 mobil 1, he went to RP hmx 5w-30 and went to 3-4 k with no burning in a 2006 ? Toyota Corolla so am told,currently still running RP with no problems what so ever.
