Good enough for 10k mile oil change intervals with room to spare If the automaker calls for it.
use with the ultimate confidence that there is no difference in specification between this and Major brand names according to specs that are granted through legitimate testing sequences.

It's a great oil and an exceptional deal at 12.50/5qt with no rebate hassles/delays. Those of us who don't want to pay Costco membership fees have to deal with infrequent sales and rebate hassles/delays.

Or just pay the 5% surcharge (non-member) for free delivery to your door, still a no hassle good deal.

With the DEXOs rating it is a fine engine oil.

Why are we asking? There are some UOAs posted and it does well holding its viscosity and the additives are similar to other SP / DEXOs oils

not too long ago, Kirkland Dexos 5W-30 was even more superer when it was on sale at Costco for $22.xx / 10 qt. Last week I paid almost $30
Yes, Kirkland synthetic is now $15 a jug everyday price. Will they have 'sales' on it in the future...probably. I would have no problem running this oil because it meets the specs which my Owners Manual calls for. I would say it's competitive (performance wise) with many name brand synthetics.

Kirkland and Supertech taking over the oil bisness. No more overpriced junk boutique oil like amsoil and lucas garbage.

Really? I didn't realize they sold to non members.

Non-Members Can Purchase from Costco.com (with a 5% Surcharge)

Non-members can purchase from Costco’s website, Costco.com, at any time. There is a downside, however:

If you are not a member, you will be charged a 5% surcharge over posted prices for members (except for prescription drugs). This is because our ability to offer low prices on brand-name items is due in large part to our membership program, which is designed to reward members for their loyalty.
The food offering on Costco.com is limited as well, compared to the warehouse. And I can confirm that I have seen lower prices on a number of items in the warehouse, versus on Costco.com.

The Costco Shop Card Can be Used by Non-Members

Costco also has a cash card (fancy name for a gift card) that they call the “Costco Shop Card“. With a Costco Shop Card, any non-member can show the card to get in the door and use it to make a purchase.

The trick with the Costco cash card is that it can be purchased by a member only. Again, you’ll have to rely on a member, which makes you a bit of a moocher, and it raises costs for every membership-buying member. And, once the card is depleted, you’ll have to get another fresh one from a member, or a reload by a member. The cards can be loaded up to $2,000.
