same as the M1 99.2 at 20,so i wouldn't say blows it away DT.

I wish we could get this latest version of the Extended Guard up here with that cool dual layered media. I haven't seen that up here yet, I'm still running the original version of the Extended Guard on my Vette. (which I understand is still a very well built filter and when it's on sale for $9.99 CDN it's the best value of all the premium filters up here)

not that it matters too much but my pureone box states it holds 13 grams. still though, i could care less about that, i want a filter that FILTERS better, which would be the pure one.

not sure where you got that info, both the box and website state 97% for the fram, and again, both box and website state 99.9 for the pure one

97%, 99% dirt trapping- we're not talking back differences here. I'd take the 97% (hey - better flow too) and 30 grams of dirt holding of the Fram. And I am not a Fram lover at all but I admit I would use THAT filter - it looks great.

I'll take the screen backed media and vault like design any day over a P1. 97% vs 99%, is very minimal in the real world. Cost isn't ever a concern of mine regarding oil and filters...............If I can't afford an extra $20 at each oci for the best products, then I certainly can't afford the car.

Wait, why would they use metal end caps on their premium filter? I thought engineered fiberboard was superior in every way to metal end caps????????????

That's an extremely well built filter. Very impressed.

Have a whole bunch of P1's to consume, so I'm good for now.

Nice looking filter. I didn't know Fram knew how to make a good oil filter!

If the orange cans didn't exist I'd be happy to buy this filter and support Honeywell.

I still would never use one,i hate the name FRAM.

nice filter, are the threads cut or rolled?

I'll still stick to the ecores for my $500 corolla beater (been using "delco", but will switch to supertech when I run out since its almost the same for a buck cheaper)

Thanks for the pics and cutting open the filter to show the two different layers of media. I would have no problem using this filter.

Fill a room with a bunch of chimps with typewriters and eventually they will write Shakespeare.
