My Mustang has had a steady diet of M1. I, then swapped this out to the M1-EP. I, must say the EP oil, until that time was my favorite oil, that I had run in this car.

I purchased 2 cases of the 5w30 Redline. The immediate impression was the car has never been quieter. After 5000 miles the car has required NO make-up oil, and still retains a good color.

Normally with the M1 I required a 1/2 quart make-up oil in 5000 mles. I plan a couple oil changes before sending in a sample for UOA. I have been impressed so far with the Redline product.

Is it an extended drain or a high quality regular drain oil? I never used hence the question

I think the car is quieter because Redline has alot of MOLY in there oil's.

I've noticed the same thing, RL is fantastic stuff.

I am also purchasing some of the Redline D4, for the GT and my wifes Corvette. Maybe it's my imagination, but there seems to be just a better smoothness to the GT's engine

At this point I am very pleased. Curious as to the spec, that would account for me not having to add any makeup oil. As I had mentioned with the M1, I had to add oil. But I will say the M1-EP, was an impressive oil as well

Probably NOACK volatility, RL's low at 6%.

I probably could (especially with an Amsoil EaO filter

), but I regularly do a 10K+ mile OCI on it, if that helps at all.

Maybe I'll try for that next year and then (finally!) do a UOA on it.
