Incremental Fluid Change Every 5k or Flush at 30k?

I have an 03 Escape (Ford's version of the Mazda Tribute). I added a B&M external filter kit. I hit 30,000 miles with it a few months ago. I changed the filter and did the hose in a bucket flush. That's what works for me.
