Very few cars look good with aluminum slots but this one sure does.

Pontiac GTO 1.webp
Pontiac GTO 2.webp

What Gear Head wouldn't? If it was mine the slots would be sold. A set of CRAGAR S/S wheels would go on.

♫ I've read it all, it's black and white
The spectrum made any shade I like
The crimson rays are ruby bright♫
Technicolor light, ow
I want red, there's no substitute for red♫
[(Red!)]
Paint it red, green ain't me compared to red♫

They must not have been the tri-powers...
The 64 thru 66 used 389 cu in, which was a variant of the 326, 389 and 421 Pontiac engines. The 3 Deuce carb was an option; Carter AFB was std.
In 67 the engine grew slightly to 400 cu in and the Q-Jet was the std carb. Also used the Turbo 400 3 speed trans.

Great cars, as were all the A bodies of the era. Except the drum brakes, of course. They got hot and became dangerous!
