How similar are ESP 0w-20 and 0w-30?

That got me thinking, is the esp 0w30 3.0 Hths or 3.5? Can’t really find a reliable source for the Hths of the esp 0w30

The Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 HTHS is >3.5 because it meets or exceeds some Euro specs requiring the HTHS to be 3.5 or higher.

Oil pressure 30 at idle and 82 at WOT. Took 15 minutes to get a full reading on both sides of the dipstick. Jeep still feels zippy. Things look normal. I am liking this AFE 0W-30. Just a little extra protection and peace of mind. ESP 0W-30 is unnecessary in my case.

So HPL and Red Line 0W-20 thicken from 8.5 to 9.5. AFE will thin from 10.5 to 9.5. Same deal and AFE is much cheaper. And it is Mobil 1, Mobil 1 doean't make crap. It is a good oil. Can't wait to rack up miles now for a UOA.

I would not say that the AFE offerings are bad it's just if you can get ESP offerings for the same price I will take those every time with enthusiasm. My application is the Subaru FA24F engine and I have seen enough UOA data on both AFE oils to know that this engine shreds through the viscosity of both AFE products whereas both ESP products will stay within these 0W20 range over a standard interval.

This is really bad news. I hope that didn’t come from the same bottle you poured in the engine.

It appears to be cavitating, and it isn’t even in the engine.

We told you the ESP 0w-30 was the correct choice. But, you didn’t listen.
