Have valvolive synpower, maxlife, amsoil 0W20, supertech dino, exxon superflo, valvoline dino, mobil clean 7500, penzoil dino, PP- for my corolla. Enough for about 10 oil changes.

Rotella dino, rotella syn, mobil delvac 1300, chevron delo, Brad penn, valvoline synpower, exxon superflo, 5 gal pail ursa super plus for the bikes.

Doesnt matter to me.

I use mainly Castrol products. So far RS 0W40, Softec plus 5W30 and now with ARX i use Kendall synth blend GT1 5W30.

I have also used Agrol Zenith F1 0W30.

Why is it that so many people change oils so often, yet I hear the odd person say that wear metals are higher when you switch brands? Is that basically a proven fact? Just wondering cause I always switch brands because I can't afford to "stock up" when on sale. I like to always use good synthetics, so I buy something I like when its on sale and I'm getting close to needing it. I pick the oil based on whether it's going in my roller cam 307 used in the cold weather or my summer driver with a flat tappet 350.

I often read on this NG that someone changed brands and oil consumption increased. The ones on this NG who seem to be in the know most always say wait for another oil change or two and the increased consumption will go back to normal. The same has been said many times when doing a UOA on the first brand change and being dissapointed in the increased wear metals. I never have the issue as I stick with one brand. Ed
