how much oil do you keep on hand?

Currently have 2 oil changes for the truck and about 2 oil changes for each of the bikes. By chance, they all got an oil service within the last month so we are good for a while... I drive about 800 miles per month.

For Vehicles? enough to only have to buy the cheapest most extreme of deals.
although I was considering that 6GALLON of full syn for 43$ the other day.

That being said i need to stock up on 15w40 HDEO for some tractors.

I usually purchase oil and any related items a max of 6 months prior to the intended oil change, and my OCD brain makes my shake the jug every week or so to keep the additives in suspension until I end up using it. :ROFLMAO:

few years back I went on a buying spree, i have roughly 200 gallons of 15/40, about 55 of 5/30. I purchase in drums, and this would be my minimum I keep on hand.
NICE. I keep eye-balling the 55 gal drum of Sinopec 10w30 synth hdeo for $700 free shipping. Seems drums of most other kinds I see aren't saving per gallon vs buying jugs from the store. I probably don't shop hard enough though.

My stash:
10 qt m1 0w40 fs euro
15 qt qsud 5w30 fs
3 qt castrol edge 0w40 fs euro
10 gal. shell rotella t6 5w40
9 gal. mobil delvac 1300 10w30
2 gal. Motorkote

I try to keep enough to do at least 1 oil change beyond those vehicles having their oil changed...I've been mostly lucky lately that they all use 5W30 lately...

Bill

24 quarts QSUD 5w30 for the kids cars
12 quarts QSUD 5w20 for wifes honda
2 6 quart Havoline Box full Synthetic 5w30for my tahoe
2 Gallons RotellaT6foy my old Buick& Goldwing

So some where around 60quarts at any given time

I have the oil/filter for the next change on my F150. I'll use it and then at some point before the next change is due, I'll visit Walmart and get a couple of changes worth of oil. I've yet to have to add oil between changes on the truck. The wife's Highlander oil gets bought right before it gets changed and my 69 GTO is the same. I have some top up oil for the Highlander, but only because of the odd amount a change takes. It uses no oil. I do keep some top up oil for the GTO because it's 455 uses some between changes. I buy all my filters (Baldwin) from Application Associates and keep a few of each I need on the shelf.

We recently had a NAPA go out of business.... I bought the shelf of oil, including the shelf itself. It's all nicely bunked in my shed, can't see much of it or else I'd post a pic.

At least 75qts of everything from RP, to T4, and so.e NAPA branded 5qt jugs of dino. Don't know what I'm going to do with it all.

12 x 5L jugs is where I feel comfortable at for 4 vehicles. I usually do one oil changes per year per vehicle so that works out to be 2-3 years supply. Same with oil filters as well.
