Never tried how much I could do, but years ago when I had your weight but 2"shorter, I pressed 100 pounds in series of 50 reps. Never tried for the limit as I couldn't afford injury and did this at home without helpMy wife has a gym membership and I went as a guess with her yesterday. I could only do 130 pounds. Haven’t done it in a while but I’d say maybe 200-225. I’m 6’4” 220. Never was a big bench presser and maxed maybe 245. Long arms don’t help.

Higher reps is much better for stamina, this is the type of workout I usually do, but throw in a few days with less reps and more weight. It's good to alternate.Single rep max 225 for me. I find flat bench dumbell press more rewarding for me. Yet I prefer incline bench press over incline dumbell press5'10 230lbs. My retirement date is December 20 2020. January 1 2021 making the move to less bulk and leaner muscle. Lower weight and a lot higher reps. I'm kinda worried over it as I've never worked out that way. I've always been a light weight warm up followed by progressing heavier weight and less reps.
Lol lol what's bulky ripped or dad bodAll joking aside, I do pushups & just like to be tone. Most women dont like bulky guys.
Im 6ft 3in. and 240 lbs. --- as long as I can pick my woman up and eat her like a peach at times --- nothing else matters!!!
You're right. I'm making the shift as I don't need the bulk for work anymore but more important is lessening the toll of heavyweights on my joints. Particularly shoulders, hips, and knees, neck. I'd also like to lean out and get to 200-15 over the next few months from the current 230-235Higher reps is much better for stamina, this is the type of workout I usually do, but throw in a few days with less reps and more weight.
