How many of you rotate your tires right after an oil change?

I used to do it every 5,000 miles like clockwork.

Since I own a dealership for over 20 years now I rarely need to do it. But if I did have a vehicle as a daily driver and kept it, I'd probably still be on that schedule.

My old daily driver now has over 400,000 miles and is 30 years old.

The 5000 mile interval always helped remind me that I needed to do other services as well. I credit that schedule with that car's longevity.

Any of you do this?

Yep. I do 6K mile oil changes, but same concept.

I do it every 10k, however I inspect my tires and other areas every 5K.

I "rotate" every time I switch summer and winter tires.

And by that, I pick the best two and stick them on the front. It's random luck if they spin the opposite way than they used to.

My system works and I get good mileage and wear.

I'm proud to say I have never rotated my tires and since I am closer to my death than to my birth, it's a safe bet that I will be wearing the dirt coat without ever having rotated my tires. I have pretty much the same record regarding washing, waxing and detailing my cars.

I am not in the habit of rotating my tires. First of all, I can’t do that with my Corvette since it has 245-35-19s up front and 285-30-20s out back. And even though my Civic uses the same size all around, I just don’t see the point of rotating them when they are wearing out at an even rate front and back. I have 55,000 miles on the current tires and still have tread left on them. My entire adult life I really haven’t rotated my tires very often and I just don’t see uneven tire wear and always get very long life from my tires (case in point, I still have the original back tires on my Corvette and they have 60,500 miles on them!!)

All my current cars have full size spares, and I'd be darned if I wouldn't do 7500 mile 5-tire rotations on all of 'em. This coincides with oil change time, the cars are on synthetic oil.

Many years ago I did. Then I realized that my vehicles didn't need time based oil changes. I rotate my tires every spring unless the vehicle did not see much or any winter driving.

I don't do tire rotations based on oil changes but shoot for around 5-7k mi. rotations. The place where I buy tires offers free rotation every 5k on tires purchased there. The shop I use for annual state inspections offers a free tire rotation if you want it. They have to pull off a front wheel and a rear for the inspection anyhow. I do about 5k mi. the first time and about 7-8k after that. I think that is about right for fwd cars.
