Some of us have a fair-to-huge amount of motor oil stashed away- how about oil filters? I was kinda surprised at how many I had.
There's only one on deck for Mom's big 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6 L V-8- a Motorcraft FL-820S, to be installed with new oil between Halloween & Thanksgiving. Oil will probably be experimental- Havoline SM 5w20.
Filter on the Merc now- a Purolator-mfg Havoline T-36.
OK, for the Neon- Oversize:
*6- Advance Auto TotalGrip AA16(mfg by Purolator, media looks different than PP)
*3- Havoline T-35(mfg by Purolator, seem identical to Premium Plus)
*1- Penske PN16(mfg by Wix, old K-Mart house brand)
*1- Purolator Premium Plus L14670
*2- Wix 51085
= 13 oversize
Regular size:
*1- AC-Delco PF53(Champion, long pre-Ecore)
*1- Advance Auto TotalGrip AA3614
*2- Havoline T-29
*1- Purolator PP L10241
*1- Wix 51348
= 6 regular: Total 19 for the Neon
Full total: 20
(Why all the Havoline-brand filters? They were on sale for $1.69 when I bought 'em, & the Advance Auto filters were $1.34 last January.
)
I'm sure some out there have a *lot* more- what oil filters do you have on the shelf, patiently waiting their turn to serve?
