I like it. It looks good and the interior looks like a really nice place to be. Overall I think it's going to be a game changer with the light weight and hopefully good fuel economy. If that happens it will send GM scrambling and Ram packing.
It will be interesting to see fuel economy and tow numbers for the EB 2.7. If they can get it close to the Ram Ecodiesel I also think it will be game over for that engine. Why? Around here, Diesel is around $4/gallon ($3.99-4.03) and regular is $3.42-3.49. I can get the EB 2.7 get 28 MPG and not pay Diesel prices or diesel service prices. And since it's turbocharged it will have the same great torque as the current 3.5 EB.
Aluminum doesn't scare me - we've been building planes with the stuff for, what, 60-80 years now? Some of those are 30 years old and are not falling out of the sky. And I'd say all the heating/cooling, hard take offs, hard landings, turbulence, etc are just as hard as a truck use.
