Ford dealer used 5W20 in my 1994 F-150

Nothing they could have put in your truck is going to hurt it for a normal interval (didn't put what you do there). No need for STP, doesn't help here. Yes, probably should run the 5W30 vs. a 20 but again, I can't see any issues. You can certaily go back and request that while you understand that the 20 is back-spec'd, you'd have perfered 30. They may tell you no b/c they followed their procedures and they will most certainly say "it's fine". Your time has a value here. Next time make sure you request regardless of what their system says, you are more comfortable with a 30 grade.

I'm glad I can still do my own work, for the house and cars. The thought of the day I can't is sickening.
Yes and no. Agree, do your own work, know exactly what gets done and what goes in.

BUT if you are wealthy enough in seniorville to have someone do some work that takes your valuable time on earth, then maybe you are doing pretty good. It's not always negative.

One day I'll have to pay, for now I can afford to pay but rather not. There is a good feeling doing the work and knowing it was done the way it was supposed to be done. The good news is when the time does come to pay I know what a good job is, and how to find the right people to do it. It amazes me the crap work people I know find acceptable. Maybe not knowing is better? It's one less thing to be concerned about. LOL I'm still trying to figure that one out.

Post holes and trenching. At 66 I'd rather do Pump weightlifting, yoga and pickleball with the ladies for my exercise.  🎯

I would not want 5-20 during a summer in a 1994 anything. Two ways to handle this. One, let it ride, it won't blow anything up. I am sure of that. Accept more wear but it is an old truck anyway. Go back to 10-30 at next change.

Or two, this is one of the very rare instances where I would recommend draining it into a meticulously clean container and reusing it in the fall just before winter. Thats not a great habit but a "one off" would solve the issue and not waste the oil. Thats what I would do in your circumstance.

The "Thin Fear" is strong with this one.

Seriously? I said "nothing will blow up". It was even option #1. Did you miss that?

If the OP has concerns and seeks opinions and advice, thats exactly what I gave him. And you call me out accusing "fear"? Seriously?
Going as far as draining it and saving for winter is FEAR IMO!
