Ford dealer used 5W20 in my 1994 F-150

Again I am answering for the OP. Thats the way its supposed to work here. Sharing opinions, not fear. If a ONE TIME using it in the winter helps out the OP, I fully stand by my statement. Feel free to dislike it all you want.

I swear, if I stated "water is wet" immeadiatly someone would challenge it. Whats wrong with people?

Fortunatly the bulk oil here only comes from 2 places. A Shell and A Rebel distributer..I know the rebel sells phillips 66 oils. Shell sells shell oil so both are ok to use.
Has to meet manufacturers specs-what ever it is.

My dealer has been through multiple distributors. Really comes down to trust. Good news is that the dealer has to backup whatever is in the tanks.

I just do my own.

Today I texted my 17 year old to take the Wrangler to get an inspection so I could pay for the yearly registration. He went to some oil change place (the machine was down where I originally told him to go) and they inspected the Jeep AND changed the oil.

500 miles ago I had put in some Royal Purple HPS 5W30 with the intent of a yearly OCI and a UOA. My son said that English was a second language for the tech and they had already drained it. He didn’t get charged for the oil change. Things happen. I’m not going to worry about it.
