Yes, but ESP is formulated for Diesel engines, not gasoline. It's easy to confuse ESP with EP, which is a longer-OCI version of regular Mobil1. ESP meets none of the gasoline engine specs (SN, GF5, Dexos1, etc. ) we find in the US.
ESP appears to be the perfect fit for my needs, i.e. not very thin with good HTHS.
I am guessing, there must be a downside to ESP, it can't be all good with no bad.
Thanks.
You are mixing apples and oranges. M1 0W30 ESP is for Euro cars, diesels. M1 5W30 ILSAC GF-5 is for majority of Japanese and American gasoline engines.
What car you drive?

That M1 5W30 ESP is probably one of the best if not best oil in that category. But, in DI gasoline engine can actually create problems in normal OCI, especially with Chinese sulfur rich gasoline.
