Help me choose oil for heavily modded VW Golf 1.8T

Your SynPower is likely different than ours. A good product, but I think the Euro brand 5w-40 will work better for you. It would be just as well to use the SynPower if it's cheaper, and use the leftover money for a UOA to get a baseline on how your engine set-up is working and if you need to adjust the oil selection and service interval. I still recommend a diesel 5w-40.

Liqui Moly Synthoil High Tech 5W-40 is actually a bit cheaper than Valvoline SynPower 5W-40...

Any specific diesel oils you recommend for my setup? And I have NO idea where to get an UOA here.

I dunno, I would say to check what they use in the Volvo big rigs for synthetic 5w-40. Otherwise, the Liqui Moly Synthoil High Tech 5W-40 is a very good product.
