Yep. This is much sturdier than the old cardboard cans. Those would leak just sitting on the shelf.

If it is cost effective I'd like to see this done with quart bottles as well.

You are correct that the box gives structural support to the plastic bag (which is about the same thickness as the bag inside the boxed wnes....not very thick). I'm thinking that the humidity weakened (dampened) the cardboard causing the bag inside to lose structural support....PS: What do you think of QSGB for less than 40 cents a quart?.....such a deal..

If it doesn't say it reduces or checks deposits, then (like Supertech), it probably doesn't. There's plenty of room on that box to outline the oil's benefits, just like on a jug of oil.

Oh' I'm right! and the horror is you are wrong.

The bulk box pictured on page 3 is a 5W-20 full synthetic. Chevron does not have a Dexos license for that viscosity of Havoline. However, they do have a license for their Havoline ProDS 5W-30, which is sold in a 6qt box at at Wal-Mart, and is pictured in the stock photo above.

The box of ProDS 5W-30 that I put in a truck two days ago had a giant Dexos logo as depicted in the stock photo.

The horror is you have been here 15 years and you have not learned ISLAC certifications that takes a very special person.

If this was turned around and the container label says it cleans and prevents deposits without any certifications to back it up, would he accept it?

The fact is, the oil meets all the certifications of d1G2 and SN+ which of themselves have strict standards for cleaning and deposit control.

This argument keeps going around in circles.

That Dexos cert is shown on the front of all applicable jugs everywhere else.

Dexos 1 gen 2.

So it's written on the back of the box then?
Answer please!

Sorry I haven't checked in in a little while. Hopefully this link to the PDS will help.

Wait..... no spout on yours. I wonder if the pic above is really the backside? Does your pretty backside (pun intended) look like his pictured above.... which I thought was front-side?

MY picture was of a 6 GALLON pit pack for shops. The pretty box your referring to was a 6 QUART box at walmart.
Also I realize now that my picture was our box of 5W20 which does not say dexos on it. The 5W30 does.
