Grocery shopping: where do you folks go?

I guess I'm confused. Haven't you advocated for confiscating and crushing vehicles with loud aftermarket exhaust systems?

As for the topic question: I travel much of the year. So I shop at whatever grocery store is close.

Should have asked where they kept the veal cutlet.

Me too. Do you remember when it was Skaggs/Albertson's? Ours started out as Skaggs/Albertson's,then Skaggs/Alpha Beta, then finally Albertson's. Those were my favorite stores. I almost forgot,it was a Jewel Osco for awhile too, then reverted back to "Albertson's" again before finally closing.

Jungle Jim's is dangerous for me...I'll spend several hours there and much more money than I meant to spend. I do like drinking beer while I shop at the Eastgate store...don't know if they do that in Fairfield.

We have 2 Kroger stores close to the house. The bigger one has a liquor store inside, and sells Boar's Head meats at the deli counter. The smaller one has no liquor store and Kroger brand of deli meats, and a much rougher clientele. My wife calls it the "little ghetto Kroger's" and we avoid that store.

As an aside, Bernard "Barney" Kroger and his whole family have a huge monument on their family lot at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.

When we go to Florida, we only shop at Publix, and in St. Louis you just can't beat Dierberg's. Beautiful stores, great selection, so much nicer than Schnucks. I also met my first wife at Schnucks, and that turned into a nightmare, so I have an aversion to shopping there.

I have every intention of strolling into Whole Paycheck this fall, wearing a cap touting a certain male Pres. candidate (who shall remain nameless here), and listening to the soft sounds of heads exploding.

How do you know there aren't illegal aliens in that picture? I assume you say that, based on your trying to make illegal immigration a racial issue. It is not. Being in a Country illegally, has nothing to do with ethnicity.

Joke around town is
"how do you know a person shops at ALDI ?"
"They tell you".

I do these days, probably 4 days a week...I can get grass fed ground beef, which I can't get at Coles. At Coles I can get spare ribs and a variety of hot sauce that I can't get at ALDI.

Except for the guy in front and center, looks like a pretty cool bunch of people. As for alienness, I've been an alien amid American society since I was 7. Nothing new there.

Publix. Bar none the best grocery store chain out there. The customer service is astounding and their prices are very competitive. Yeah, Walmart may be a few bucks cheaper overall but I never leave Walmart with a positive outlook of humanity. Publix I always leave in good mood.

Anyone notice how expensive Walmart is getting? For instance,$3+ for a gallon of Great Value milk vs $1.99 for HEB milk. $3.00 for a bag of Great Value cheese vs $1.99 for the same size HEB brand cheese. $2.50 for a dozen Great Value eggs vs $1.00 for a dozen HEB eggs.

I shop at Aldi too. They have a great produce section (really cheap too) and I like their house brand stuff.

Yep, they come in and set a reputation of low prices, put everyone else out of business and then raise them.
