Yes, here we go again...this one appears to be a possible hate crime. Latest report said six people killed. A shame.

Interestingly only a very short time after the shooting was reported FOX News had Barney Frank talking about "gun control".
I think this guy is another manchurian candidate.

It's murder. Hate you say? Makes no difference what 'type' of crime they try to label it. I'd say pretty much all murder has a certain amount of hate involved.

From a purely objective standpoint (ie, follow the money), the NRA is the most powerful lobby in Washington, and if politicians want to stay in office, they go through the NRA.

You're right, andrewg, but it's bad enough when some nut just goes shooting someone randomly or decides a bullet is better than a divorce. I find it worse, if that's possible, when people do such things simply because of someone's skin color or country of origin. Of course, we don't know enough about this case this early on, so I'm speaking in generalities.

I agree with that. Killing a random group of strangers simply because you feel like doing so is far more evil in my mind. Of course it is just as wrong when you kill a family member or someone you know because you lose your temper but killing total strangers is even more crazy. If that makes sense.

I respect your viewpoint, but very much disagree. Many reasons humans murder one another. I don't see it any more 'hateful' to kill a group of strangers because they have different ethnicity....than I do to kill your own child or to murder a clerk at a 7-Eleven for fifty five bucks. All I am saying here is it's disingenuous in my opinion for the authorities to label one a crime of 'hate' while another is...well, just a crime. I think it better to call it what it is...cold blooded murder. Looking at motives or reasons 'why' some nutcase murders innocent lives (way too much focus), is a waste of time. The focus should be on justice. Just my opinion mind you.

I wouldn't worry about it. As a group, American Sikhs tend to have at least average education. Most will know better than to blow up over something like this and get more people killed.

Appears to be domestic terrorism. This one is particularly bad if the latest news is true. White guy shooting at turbans. Means he is totally misinformed. Sikhs for the most parts are Indians, nothing to do with radical Islam. India and Pakistan (where the Islamic radicals are) have been at war for centuries, have nukes pointed at each other. Sikh's are on our side in the war against terror. The Sikhs wont hold a grudge. Its terrible.
