GPS help?

Planning to buy another GPS as the wife is leaving for an out of state work assignmet.

Question; Anyone have knowledge of Magellan Roadmate 700? Are they still in production? How old might I expect a pawnshop unit to be? Any current users?

Unit in question has a doored slot that's empty, is this for memory card, or battery?

Price is right, if this model is still viable. Any and all help will be gratly appreciated!
