GM Drivers Love Walmart!

We're not at all surprised that Wal-Mart came out on top this month considering the sheer size of America's largest private employer, and the other top requests read like a who's-who of big business. Big-time hotel chains and major retail outlets dominate the top 10 most requested routes (the top 10 destinations list is available after the jump), but only one fast food chain and zero gas stations cracked the top 10. Folks have learned that *any* Wal-Mart store is a familiar store, regardless of where they happen to be.

I travel a lot by motorcycle. One downside about travelling by motorcycle is that you can't take everything that you'd like to take with you.

As a result, some things need to be bought while out on the road, as the need presents itself.

It is easier to ask a local where the nearest Wal-Mart is... rather to ask where the nearest drug store is for a bottle of Advil, where the nearest auto parts store is for a headlight bulb, and where the nearest clothing store is for a 3 pack of socks.

I know that all three items can be purchased in just one stop at any Wal-Mart... usually 24 hours a day.

BTW, all three above items were bought at a Wal-Mart in Cleveland, TN.

Oh absolutely, especially any mainstream brand like Toyota, Honda etc. But I have noticed there are plenty of Hyundai/Kia's at the Walmart but they seem lacking at the more "upscale" supermarkets. So I figure they are the biggest bargain shoppers.

Walmart is a great place to shop for lots of stuff including food.
The Honey BBQ chicken tenders from the deli are very delicious

I have never understood why some people are soooooo anti-Walmart.

Haven't owned a GM since my very first hand me down car (and have never bought one), but Walmart is my oil paradise. Except for specialty and boutique oils, they are by far the best here for price and selection. There are 3 CTs here and 3 Walmarts, and 2 of the 3 Walmarts have the CT next door. Whenever CT puts any brand name on sale you can go next door to Walmart and pick up the same oil for less at either their regular or rolled back price. CT carries a few niche oils that Walmart doesn't (like Redline, and more Shell diesels), but the prices are insane.

RL, for instance, is only sold by the quart at CT - at $13/quart. Love to try it, but not enough to spend over $60 on it (with tax and factoring in top ups) when I can always get Syntech next door for under $30 for 4.4L (depending on the flavour sizing of the day).

I envy you guys south of the border.

This thread is meaningless and misleading at best. I should start a thread "Toyota drivers love BHO" because I see a lot of Toy's with "hope" and "change" stickers.....equally as meaningless.

I drive a Toyota, and I have no idea what "BHO" is. No stickers on my car either, other than the 2 dealer stickers on back and a parking permit sticker on the windshield (none of which I put there).

Stickers on cars, beyond permits or dealer, have always been a pet peeve of mine.

Edit: though your point that sweeping generalizations are meaningless is well taken, and I agree (and buy my oil at Walmart
