German translation

I though I knew the German for full synthetic and semi-synthtic, but I think I've gotten myself confused. Volle-Synthese = ? Techosynthese = ? Thanks.

I believe Volle is full synthetic. Thus Techo is semi.

No comment on Vollsynthese/fully synthetic is required. "Technosynthese" is a moniker some oilmakers use for hydrocracked oil, which is also commonly called "Öl auf Hydrocrackbasis." Technosynthese sounds good, because it implies that this is a hi-tec oil.

Thanks guys, I had not seen the Technosynthese before and wasn't sure what it was. It was used in reference to Motul Dexron III. Should still be pretty good stuff, even hydrocracked.

Actually, technosynthese uses a drum machine instead of a live drummer...

Fuchs use MC or 'Molecularly Converted' for Group III oils, so there are a few different labels.
