This is very true these days. I had been with my local State Farm agent for 10 years and had a good relationship with them. Very friendly and helpful and I actually sold one of my cars to a woman who worked there. But.. Then I needed to file a claim and I got the most rediculous run-around through the claims office located 100 miles from here. The local agent has NO AUTHORITY OR POWER to do anything for you when you actually need the insurance. This experience was the reason we switch to the money saving GEICO.
