Gas Price Ramifications... Not Good

It's a beautiful day, so I took the fuel economy champ Viper ACR with forced induction, out for a spin. Gas is still $2.00 cheaper per gallon at the closest station, than at it's peak in the summer of 2022.
Pip pip cheerio!!
Best you take this opportunity to fill the quench of the Veyron as well?!

I'm grateful that gasoline prices have remained relatively stable the past 20 years. Look at the inflation charts. We are in the top 1/4 of cheapest gas in the world.

It's a good thing we're not allowed to discuss politics or I'd be in a bell tower somewhere screaming from the top of my lungs.

$5 per gallon of fuel. Pffffft...
These people don't know what expensive is.
You can't buy an outhouse for $500K around here.

Nice!
Lets see some pics and vids of the Viper! 😍 💪

*forget it*

Suit yourself.

I get the sense that If I did post more pics, it would only lead to more thinly-veiled comments.

I will say that the guy who owns that Veyron, took the risk and started what became a very successful business. Which is what allowed him to own some racing teams, and have fun cars like that Veyron.

I checked the gas price at the nearest gas station just now. It's still $1.80 lower than the all-time high in the summer of '22. There wasn't a war on then, except against consumers.

It would, you're right.
Happy to hear fuel is good in your area just the same 👍

It's sad that some people can't display simple courtesy, or rather can't keep themselves from being so blatantly rude and obnoxious.

Wow! I don't know how folks can stand gas prices in CA. The worst I've seen here in my hometown was $3.59 just two days ago. Yesterday it went to $3.39 and tonight, several stations dropped to $3.29 and the BP went to 3.19. We were at about $2.49 before the war.

I saw Brent Crude today at $85 a barrel, so not surprising it's starting to come down. The only surprise is that it is coming down that quickly. Usually they go way up quickly but are very slow to come down.
There is no shortage f oil or gas in this country. Those prices are driven by the futures prices out of London. There are no real reasons for fuel to have gone up in this country. Oil futures can only keep the prices high for limited time. The future prices for out in the near future are low.

One time a crackhead was washing his beater car with a squeegee blocking two pumps. I filled up and on the way out as I was leaving I told him to go to a car wash next time or at least don’t block two pumps. He started yelling crazy stuff at me and running after me trying to hit my car with the squeegee. Too bad cars have wheels and he just had feet. I hope the next day birds pood on his car and he had to wash it again!!

Edit: moral of the story, I don’t think you can correlate behavior with gas prices. Although I agree with the other poster that once covid started people got weirder, nastier, crazier, and ruder…
I question whether it's gas prices. We are in an age of rudeness and self centeredness. (Is that a real word?)

The Trevors and Karens are what they are because of who they are.

It's not about fuel prices.

Good riddance to bad garbage...

Currently $2.05 cents per liter in Vancouver Canada. My 60 liter tank will today cost me $123 to fill from empty.
Small 2006 Nissan SUV with 2.5L 4 cyl/auto AWD, same engine as the Altima. ''Only'' 164 HP but it scoots very nicely , mainly because i'm very often tinkering with it , tuneups, fresh oil/filters/transmission fluid, plugs, Big Three Wire upgrade, ECU reset, I often just clean engine parts versus outright replacing them such as the MAF sensor/TB/ VVt solenoid. Clean the battery posts , the battery cable connectors, clean ground wires.
Not that I bought a Used old pile of crap that I throw piles of money at over the years, just doing my best to keep her running in the best shape possible for it's age and mileage. So far it has been a fantastic Used vehicle to me.

I drove by Costco today around 11 AM. The gas line was probably 10-15 cars deep for each pump, pretty long. Across the street is another big chain station, zero line. The difference is 6 cents per gallon for 87, $3.49 at Costco.
