Had a heck of time changing this one. I could not get it off with the band style filter wrench; it kept slipping.

The filter got pretty well chewed up during the process; the wrench too. I managed to get a ChannelLock to work, which chewed up the filter even more. I now have proper oil filter pliers, which I can't wait to try out, but will have to until the next OC.

It is amazing how hard oil filters can sometimes be to remove.

I hate when filters are hard to remove. Usually that means the last guy installed it too tight most likely with a tool.

Get the claw type filter remover tool , I never have problem remove any type of oil filter .
