A welcome change. Inlet hole and e core lovers like myself can rejoice. I wonder what the inside looks like. Can you measure the can length OP, the fram website states 4" for the old one which hasn't been updated yet.

Does anyone know if there's a pro to having a taller gasket. I tend to like the shallow kind like on the left.

Would love to see the rebirth of the 63e inside 😷

In the age of downsizing filter applications, this is odd. 'Personally' prefer the baseplate design of the old vs new. But I'm speculating the new ecore will have metal endcaps, that means metal to metal bypass piece seal area. For regular readers here, shouldn't be any need to elaborate on the implications of that. And another "Fram" with Champ Labs design.

My take is that there are too many inlet holes here making for a less stable stamping. Even Emmentaler cheese would be jealous. 1/2 that amount would still be overly sufficient.
The main Ecore tradeoff is too large a diameter from the plastic cage design when employed on the small form factor part. You may gain some pleat stability but you loose media area, and filters are already too small these days.

Getting ready to install a DL10575 that's in my hand right now, and it matches the old Fram version, minus the silicone ADBV. Date code is A32951. Made in USA 🇺🇸 (y)
