^^ Another vote for a couple of short OCI with dino oil. I'd do the first one at around 500 miles, the second one at 2000 miles. Then get a good 0W20 synthetic and follow the mfg suggestions for OCI. Nice looking car! Enjoy it!

On all my new Fords, I have been doing the first OCI at 1500 MC 5w20, and the 2nd at 3000. From then on, I go by the manual (6 months for me), and typically buy synthetic on sale.

Very nice ride! Have you raced your daughter yet?

Motortrend got a 13.7 in the 1/4 from the new v6 Stang.
Very impressive. The Camaro V6 managed a 14.3 so you should have her lol!

So the Stang is the daily driver while the Vette is reserved for wknd use?

If you want to go syn, any will do in either 0W-20 or 5W-20....however, IF you go syn, I'd opt for a 0W-20 - why not get a bit quicker start-up flow if you can?
In Lousiana most any multi visc oil will flow plenty quick at startup.

Anthony....Stang is the wifes car, works from home though, usually commutes only one day a week( Baton Rouge to New Orleans) so mostly highway miles. Vette is our weekend toy.

SteveS...I change out oil too soon to justify Syn, unless I find it CHEAP, (like the Valvoline VR1 10W30 deal I did on the vette=Free)
