Tell the real reason why this bothers you.
He's actually right. There are a
LOT of trucks here that never see anything beyond passenger car duty. I just did a service on a Silverado 2500HD. The bed was unmarred by any scratches and the hitch receiver did not have any scratches on it as if it had never been used.
Personally, I'm not bothered by it. I'm amused by it.
If you ask them why they bought such a large heavy duty truck they often respond, "I can't drive no little-bitty car. I'm too hard on cars...." which I interpret as them admitting that they are bad drivers.
My position on this stance is further bolstered by the fact that they cannot manuever their own vehicles in and out of my garage without hitting the wall.
I have a client who is a cowgirl. Real cowgirl. Barrel Racer. 4'10" and maybe 90lbs in boots belt buckle and hat. Gorgeous little thing. She can manuever her F-350 SuperCrew in and out like nobody's business. Just like she was riding her Quarter Horse. Gooseneck horse trailer with living quarters goes exactly where she wants it to. But these "real men" who have to drive "real trucks" cannot. It's hilarious. I feel bad for them when they catch the side of the bed of their new 3/4 ton diesel on the 8" reinforced concrete wall...rather, I feel bad for the truck. But I am not offended. It's just funny to me.
LOL!! I live very near Arlington and think I know the girl you are talking about (I'm a horse owner myself). This F350 wouldn't happen to also be a King Ranch would it???
I already said too much for client confidentiality.
But if she barrel races as well as she handles that large truck and trailer....
