I didn't mean for anything to be misleading.
Thanks.
So you approved them to fix the truck, even though you have no idea what they're fixing?
I know they are fixing my leaky valve cover gaskets and replacing the spark plugs. There was oil in the #8 hole so I figured it was time for them to be changed as well.
It's not like they said "Hey we found some things wrong, we're going to fix them" and I said ok. They told me what it was but I forgot but I believed they said cylinders.
Are the valve covers visibly leaking? That's not a known problem point for the Modular. We still have the original valve cover gaskets on the Expedition and it has close to 200,000 miles on it.
Okayyyyyyy......
So it was the coil packs on cyl 3,4,6 they replaced. So I got the cylinders right, just not the right part.
They said I had a small weep and told me they didn't want to fix it, apparently they are a huge pain in the arse to replace the VCG so I'm gracious they saved me money.
So spark plugs replaced and coil packs on cyl 3,4,6 were replaced and my truck is a happy camper that is due for its oil change very soon
:]
