Those of you that have a vehicle with either of these engines, which filter wrench are you using to remove the 820S style oil filter?

I only own strap wrenches. Never had a problem getting a filter off.
Every time my son goes under his 2004 (new style) Lariat to remove the filter, just don't be in ears reach! I have NEVER heard of some of the words he uses! Just use your imagination.
I use the cap wrenches. Now I don't have anything that takes a FL-820S. The FL-500s on my Mustang is small enough that I don't need a wrench to get it loose.
BTW, he installed the FRAM TG2 oil filter l found in one of my dads sheds my brother and l were cleaning out. It was bought from WM on 11/14/2016.

Back when I had my '99 F-150, I went to the dealer and bought the actual cup style wrench that goes on a ratchet.
You have a lift?? That's the only way a strap wrench would be easy.
I used a strap wrench on these. On the 90's thunderbirds with the 4.6 the front sway bar was right in the way. On the f150 trucks it was a piece of cake.
My cousin does. He lives about a mile away. He wasn't home yesterday.

I always used a strap wrench on our Expedition, and yes, it's a PITA.
On my F250, the filter just hangs down where it's easily accessible. On my F150 and on my son's Lincoln Navigator, the filter is remote and sits right behind the bumper on the driver's side. Call me paranoid, I don't actually like that accessibility because it's just TOO EASY to get to. People walking by the vehicle can look and see the filter and could just reach in and unscrew it. Now on my Lincoln Mark VIII that I had, that one was somewhat of a PITA. You had to turn the steering wheel all the way to the left to allow access to remove and install the filter.

I use a strap wrench on the MGM, but I have to spin it around to get it all the way out. Dumping oil on the crossmember & ground in the process.
You guys must all have had 4x4s. It's super easy on my 2wd Navigator, you don't even have to lift the vehicle, although with the power running boards it's better to slide under it from the front. I took the filter off by hand the last time, it took some effort, but it came off without a tool.
If I have to use a tool, I have a Lisle tool that fits over the end of the filter and you put a 3/8ths extension on it. It squeezes as you loosen so it does a really good job of getting off really stuck filters.
