Box says wix but the minder is labeled made byDonaldson.
It’s pretty much self explanatory.
Just drilled an 11/16 hole on the clean side. Sanded the drilled area lightly with fine sand paper. Stuck the rubber grommet in and seated the minder stem into the grommet. Vacuumed the box and all out and stuck a wix air filter back in.
Put the air box back on and tightened the hose clamp.
I’ll see how long it goes till the minder indicates time to change the filter.

It will go much longer than you would think. The filter can be horrible looking and still won't pull the thing down

I’ve read of some people going many miles before they need to change.
Do you think thes filter minders are accurate?

I am curious, do they lock down to show a problem or do you just check them at idle in the driveway. I would think that you would need an indicator to show issues at 3000 rpm under load because at idle even a mud packed filter would probably pass enough air.

The indicator locks in to place at several different points. When it’s nearly plugged up it should be at the change filter mark.
I’ll probably change it when it’s a little above the mark to be sure.

I just got one for our RAM too, but bought the one from K&N, which has a lower limit of 10 inches of water.

I put the same filter minder in the airbox of my '20 Grand Cherokee 3.6 with a new fram ultra filter.

It locked in at 11" after some high rpm full throttle runs.

I have one on my Cummins 8.3 ISC that is in my motorhome. Due to a few surgeries my wife went though this year, we didn't travel a lot this year. We are planning on traveling much more next year. I'm anxious to see how the gauge works.

When a replacement air filter costs $180 or more, the filter minder becomes a very valuable tool.

wow! Most definitely, that is a very expensive filter. It’s also good because there’s no need to guess and open the airbox early. Don’t have to introduce dust and stuff unnecessarily.
