Question for those with the better technical knowledge than I have.

I have a 2002 Chevy Express 3500 with the 5.7L. The filter minder that is in the intake looks like its lived its best life, and it needs replacement. Not sure if its letting air in past it or not, but I figure its better to not have broken plastic anywhere in the air intake tract.

It looks like the part number 15063809 has been discontinued, but its made by Donaldson. I just want to either put the right minder back in here, or find something appropriate to seal up the hole/grommet. Would prefer not to spend $60 for an indicator when I can just buy a few air filters for that price....

Any thoughts on what might be the best solution here?

Not all, went through the GM site, and a couple other of the top sites that came. Maybe just gave up too soon? Stopped when I kept seeing "unavailable" or "discontinued" and wasn't sure if there was a better/equivalent Donaldson or Fleet guard equivalent I could use

Does this look like the filter minder on your van? Do the dimensions match? Bottom of page 213, Donaldson p/n X007335

That looks pretty close. Ill need to go pull whats left of it out to get the dimensions off of it, and see if I can make out the pressure scale.

Thank you!

Maybe give this one some consideration...much more accurate than the old mechanical gauges.

Just following up here. I ended up with a K&N 85-2445. That goes up to 10", which seems the lowest I could find. I wanted to get a Wix ws10135, but they were getting a little pricey. Also looked at a Motorcraft FA-1901, but there is no scale on it and it's from a Power stroke.

A Wix 24801 might also fit, but is a larger scale, but cheaper.

So anyway, there are a few options if anyone else is looking!
