Hi,

What is my best bet for a 91 integra filter? I know for sure I can get:
-Denso
-Nippon (H=75 W=84mm)
-Filtech Honda OEM (H=82 W=80mm)
-Bosch
-Unknown Honda OEM (H=80, W=84)
-Advantex
-Supertech filter

I dont drive a honda/acura vehicle, so I dont have any useful knowledge. I just want to get the best filter I can for use with castrol GTX/german syntec 0w30 mix in her car. We dont mind paying a few more $ over supertech, if the filter is much better (the supertech seems ok though), as since the filter is on its side, I kind of worry about drainback, and of course just general filter construction. An I better off paying double to triple the cost of te superterch, which is generally regarded as a good filter?

Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

JMH

I have an 89 Legend, like the car and it still works well. Me, I'm going back to the Honda OEM filter that was originally made to fit the NSX as well. Other than that one, I like the Purolator as a second choice. Why? I checked the Purolator site and the filter recommended ONLY fits the Legends and NSXes which carried the same engine block family. So I figure the bypass valve pressure specs are set properly. Check out the thread on Aftermarket Vs. OEM.
The other reason is if the filter wasn't good enough for the NSX engine, the mfr wouldn't list it. Those things cost a mint.
