Leaking NAPA Gold Oil Filter

Use a torque wrench. If no room, use a torque adapter. Not a fan of 1/2-1 turn after gasket contact.
And, I am hoping that everyone oils their filter gasket with fresh motor oil along with cleaning the gasket matching area on the filter mount.

I'm quite sure the 1/2 turn beyond hand tight is the procedure that is called for by filter manufacturers.

Torque is only specified with cartridge filters and a plastic cap.

This weekend I was wondering what could cause oil to collect on the surface of the NAPA Platinum 47356 installed on my Honda K24.

Then I saw this thread today. Good thing my next oil change is coming soon.
