Purchased a Napa Gold oil filter, Looks like Napa changed oil filter supplier's, Any recent Napa Gold oil filter buyers who recently purchased Napa filters?

I can use a cheaper filter because I use the severe schedule for oil changes which is 3,750 miles, The normal schedule is 7,500 miles…This filter is for a Mitsubishi Outlander.

yes run these. made by premium guard and very well built filters. they fly under many house names, microgard select, carquest premium, etc. you can save money with the carquest premiums at AAP. Little cheaper than everywhere else

What can you get at the Mitsu dealer parts window? Unit part Cost is insignificant in the scheme of things unless the dealer is gouging then it's a principle. First try asking "I bought the car here, may I have the nice price?"

New manufacturer for Napa Gold oil filters, as noted Premium Guard/PGI made now. The NG shown has silicone sealing gasket. As usual, this subforum all over the change and sorted first.

The CQ Premium Blue also made by PGI now, and with easily found AAP 15% off online order code ~$6.60. The two CQ I purchased made in 23 has nitrile sealing gasket, but for the price ok by me. Could be newer CQ have silicone gasket. In any case, worth a look vs more expensive PGI made filters, imo.

As always, shop around first. My NAPA store has the Second Saturday Sale, 30% off everything that is not already on sale. I believe NAPA still has the Gold Filter sale once or twice each year (around 50% off). That's the time to stock up. The Company owned stores usually have some of the best deals. Now the bad part - NAPA prices have soared in the past couple of years.

not “could be”, the new carquest premiums are silicone gaskets.

I think it just depends on location possibly because I tried several stores in my area and they are all nitrile and made in China.
old stock, i buy these exclusively for anything other than HPL PCEO runs.
Do you know the PRV pressure on something that’s a 10575 equivalent ? Just occurred to me we have an independent that’s a CQ agent …
Carquest Premium 84502 (10575 equivalent) has a bypass pressure of 22 psi via their description.

Not having seen every application and their corresponding date codes, I couldn't accurately speak to that conclusion. And as seen by my CQ Prem. 84356 anecdotes posted, many can still be nitrile. That despite whatever description currently provided by AAP. All that said, having used nitrile sealing gaskets for decades with no issue, either way not very important to me. As long as adbv silicone, good to go.
