F150 limited slip diff.....

I am buying a 2wd f150 and don't really know whether to get it or not. What are the benefits, better in snow or better for towing?

Well, it's probably a Trash-lok (Trac-loc) and probably doesn't work well anymore if the truck has some miles on her.

All things being equal though, with a Trac-loc, I guess a 2WD would do OK in the snow with some Ice&Snow tires and some weight in the bed.

They are a good, simple clutch-style LSD and last a very long time. I've got three of them in various vehicles. The one in my Expedition is quite tight; locks up the tires on any real acceleration on very tight turns.
