I know about the reverse situation. We interviewed a "physician" from out of the province. He (ahem) removed everything portable from his hotel room: all the towels and face cloths, the small shampoo and lotion set, and even the shampoo and lotion stand. As we had made the arrangement for the hotel room, the hotel asked us to pay all for the missing items. The hotel commented that no-one had ever taken the shampoo and lotion stand before!
Naturally we deducted the hotel's charges from this "physician's" expense cheque.
And no he didn't get the job. After the interview, we weren't convinced he even had a medical degree. He later called to ask if the "unfortunate situation with the hotel" had any bearing on our decision. I've got to admit that call took guts.
