How does one vanish from society?

i dont think it would be too hard, just go live in the forest where you have no contact with anyone. you would have to find food for 30 days though

A competition with regular people involving a real-life manhunt where they attempt to completely drop off the grid while skilled investigators, who are highly trained in modern investigating tactics and who process the most advanced tracking technology, hunt to catch them. From searching their homes, internet and cell phones, to identifying individuals' patterns and thinking habits, the Hunters pursuing them and the investigators at their Command Center focus all concentration towards identifying possible hiding places and associates to limit the fugitive's possibilities and increase the possibility of capture. Eighteen individuals will pair up for a chance at the grand prize of $250,000 which will be awarded to any pairs that successfully evade capture for 28 days.

Maybe the guy just needs some solitude. Let’s find theories and ways to explain and disrupt that.

Not easy, but if not wanted by the authorities you could probably move somewhere to work off the books and find a room rental paid for in cash. No cell phone, internet, computer, drivers license, other governmental ID, insurance, property, etc. and it would be difficult for someone to track you down I would think.

Of course not many who would want to live like that.

Disappearing from society and hiding from the authorities are wildly different I think. I think it would be pretty much impossible to hide if the authorities wanted you - dependent on how high on their list you were.

Falling from society if your not wanted appears much easier than I would have guessed.
