Yeah in return ask them for access to the financial statements and employee records. That might come in handy for negotiating a raise

.

I wonder though if these managers would be willing give you their personal Facebook page and password in return. That would be hilarious if when asked for it someone requested theirs lol.

AMEN!

All of this social media "stuff" is just so lame. Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc... can all blow up and vanish for all I care. As you said nothing a phone call or e-mail can't do. I am not 12 nor do I have a "look at me" complex. The day I get a FB page or start tweeting about my every move you can put a slug in me and bury me because I will deserve it.

And FWIW if I was denied a job because I would not surrender a password to a private account of mine you can rest assured a lawayer would be contacted. Chances are I would consider that if I was even asked for that info. That is way out of line.

I did too! It felt like just another clique I didn't belong to besides all the privacy issues!

I think it's wrong for a company to ask for your password! No way buddy! NUNYA business.

Setup a fake account. Post a picture of a cat. Like pages that relate to your employment.

Maybe even with a fake name. Like, say, George Clooney or Colonel Sanders.

Hmmmm, I'm starting to re-thing my permanent boycott of Facebook a little bit.... Just a little.
