Yes, 1 billion years life will be extinguished (and most likely much sooner) on earth from the suns radiation, in 5 billion years there will be no sun at all.Although it's still a few hundred million to a billion years in the future, the Earth will actually suffer a catastrophic collapse in atmospheric CO2 levels, and all life on Earth (except for anaerobic bacteria) will go extinct!
CO2 levels collapse, photosynthesis ceases, O2 production ceases = all aerobic life EXTINCT!

All animals ‘will die out on Earth in a billion years’ from ‘mass suffocation’
A DRAMATIC drop in Earth’s oxygen levels will eventually kill off most life on Earth, according to a new study. Scientists think life as we know it could have about a billion years left befor…www.thesun.co.uk
Earth isnt here forever and the suns energy isnt going to last forever, for 3 billion years now the climate on earth has been changing, droughts, ice ages, as the sun itself changes and cools down it expands it will one day will literally die, the earth itself become lifeless or melt away. Nothing will stop it, its always been a given.
Is Earth getting closer to the sun, or farther away?
And will this change in distance affect our planet's climate?
