Driving through the fog

I went for a drive in the coastal hills today. It was pleasant at around 65F, mostly foggy with the sun and blue sky occasionally showing. Got out and walked a trail for a few miles through the woods. I saw a large woodpecker and a few deer. I didn't see anybody else there. It was very peaceful.

Did you know one proposal had California laid out as 3 three states?
I believe the same draft had Texas as five and both Dakotas as one.
That'd make 55 stars on the flag.

It's a well-known area. The winding road going up there is not to everyone's liking, although it's popular with bicyclists.
