Are the Wix XP filters good for the Hemis vs the Mopar ones?
Wix XP are a step above Mopar. All Mopar filters are paper media. Win XP is made with synthetic media. Are the Wix XP filters good for the Hemis vs the Mopar ones?
Me too ....Ive turned anti Amazon ....even Jeff Bezos looks like Dr. Evil! It seems like everything I was getting was broke when I got it. The last hing I bought was a 75 dollar coffee maker...they refused to take it back saying i used it and broke it. Bank of America finally reversed the charge after 6 weeks of going around and around. I bought some speaker that were fake....I hate Amazon with a passion, I've gotten so much fake stuff from there its not funny, and that's still buying mainly only sold n shipped by Amazon products too!
I'll check out CT and others, thanks![]()
The mighty SRT filter is just another WIX paper media filter, so it's bellow the WIX XP. Just skip it. If you want the best compromise between filtration and flow, and want a filter built like a tank made with synthetic media, then get the Purolator BOSS PBL24651. Fram ULTRA XG2 is also a decent option, however, I just can't get past the thin & cheap construction of those filters. Their spun microglass media is very good though. Or you can keep bearing yourself up. Just do yourself a favor and skip all the Mopar filters, they're trash compared to the aftermarket.Thanks. I see some are using the SRT filters (WIX 57063) as well, though I'm confused as many say its because it flows better, but the flow rates are lower and bypass psi is lower too in the SRT version, hmm. So many decisions lol...

It's a business decision, not political. This goes only to show how much politics is involved with these motor oil recommendations...
And what's the difference between politics and business? It's a business decision, not political.
Seriously? And what's the difference between politics and business?
You're putting those XG2 filters on pretty expensive vehicles. Are you ever concerned that they might fail due to the super-thin metal construction? The other thing I didn't like about these FRAM filters was the amount of glue they use in them, and where they use it. Why not spend a couple of bucks extra and charge more to build the filter a bit better?I do it primarily out of convenience so I only have to stock one filter, except in my case it is the XG2.
Oh yeahSeriously?

In politics, the quid pro quo is denied.Oh yeah![]()
Oh, I know that the spun micro-glass they use is top-notch. Purolator filters are junk or average at best. I use the Purolator BOSS filters because they are actually built like a tank. However, their synthetic filter media is average. Their media is basically plastic, and that's why they can call it synthetic. If we could merge the construction of the Purolator BOSS with the FRAM Ultra's filtration media, we would have the ultimate filter. Do you hear that FRAM? Because I'm sure, Purolator wouldn't budge on upgrading their media. In terms of filtration, it has I believe the highest efficiency on the market, that's why I used it. I did have a leak (it was in the filtration section, there's a thread) but FRAM sent me two new ones and took the old one for autopsy and it was at the gasket, not the can. I don't find them that thin? The Motorcraft/Purolator cans don't seem any thicker.
That's so trueIn politics, the quid pro quo is denied.![]()
Out of all the filters I recommended the WIX XP has the lowest flow rate. I would order the Royal Purple 20-820, Fram XG2 or Purolator BOSS PBL24651.I think I'll order some Wix XP filters and some other stuff from RockAuto...
Amazon looks to be $24+ taxes on the Puro or Wix filters anyways, heck no! lol...
