Dodge 4.7L loves XD3 0W-30

Changed out the GC with some 0W-30 XD3. Even though the numbers of these oils are similar the engine is noticeably quieter at idle with the XD3. Can this be attributed to old vs new oil?

well I just put GC back in to my dodge 4.7 seems to be just as quiet as when I had it in there before. the noise you hear is prob the valve lash adjuster bleeding down. it ticks when it sits over night right?

It just generally feels smoother and a little quieter. Probably just new oil placebo effect.

You have me curious to know if you would notice the difference if you switched back to GC. I may have a source for XD3 if it is actually better. People also describe GC as smooth and quiet. Too bad its such a pain in the arse to send mail items through customs.
