It's just a corporate retail holiday like the rest. "Empty out your wallets or else you're a bad person!!".
Of course I won't dare tell my gf that haha!! We're going to the Latin club tonight to go dancing.

Not any more but I did when I was a young man and there was a delectable quid pro quo for the card and chocolates. 
RIP.
I feel fortunate to have spent so many years with my best friend. So I try to make every day special. She tells me the same. But I try to go the extra mile on Valentines Day.

We usually get each other cards but when I mentioned it this year, she told me not to get her one so I guess you can say that it's no big deal for us. She doesn't like flowers so that was never a thing. We usually try to go out to eat at some point.
