I just found three unopened gallons in the back of my garage. Looks like it’s from 2013

I Don’t have my diesel anymore but was planning to use this in my 4 stroke outboard. Any issues seem like the SM spec is OK for my outboard although 10-40 is recommended weight

any issues?

It's perfectly fine. Use with confidence.

If I use old stock from my stash, I typically shake the container first.

GIve'er a little shake and pour'er in.

Engine Oil holds its additives in suspension for a good while, dont know what the limit is, so just give it a small shake and pour

I’m sure just pouring without the shake is fine too. As soon as you start the engine, it’ll be completely mixed.
