CK-4 E9 substitute LL 04 in BMW N47 SEQ Oz

Well it's been a while.
I had to get a scheduled service in October last year which included whatever unidentified bulk oil was on hand.
I was going to change at 5,000 km but at 4550 km it already sounded like it was starting to go away.
I used the fluid extractor and pulled out 5L and replaced with the new Nulon CK4.
I didn't replace the filter this time so there was probably about 0.3 to 0.5 L of old oil left.
To it for a quick spin around the neighbourhood.
No warning messages were set off - which is really saying something. Engines running much smoother of course.
I'll report back anything of interest but otherwise will leave in for the planned 5,000 km.

You can pour API SA oil, and it won't set off the warning message, until it oxidizes and starts creating issues with pressure, etc.
Inappropriate oils don't damage engines immediately. It is a slow death.

I was using BMW humour, basically this car bit**es about anything and everything, no matter how trivial.
I disagree about the inappropriate oils part of your post. It is a diesel oil made for euro DPF's and meets a set of very high specs.

This stuff has the correct approvals and is also great for cooking:
