What engine oil for BMW E84 X1

Hi all,

Am searching for best and cost effective engine oil for my

BMW X1 sDrive 20d E84 2011 with N47 diesel engine

Please find the recommended in user manual

Service center recommends below

1. Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 Diesel
2. Castrol Edge turbo Diesel 5W-40
3. CASTROL Edge Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 5W-40

i need suggestion for below
4. Any LIQUI MOLY Fits for above recommend ( Please suggest)

Am living in a Asia region where temperature doesn't go below 10 C' and average temperature where 25°C to 30°C

Am wondering that can i use below ..

Castrol CRB Turbomax 15W-40 CI-4/E7
or
CASTROL Vecton 15W-40 Mineral Multigrade Oil


any expert ideas an suggestions are welcome

ll-04 is recommended but using 15w-40 is honestly fine these engines aren't that sensitive like some believe. It's not usually used for emissions standards which are stricter in the west but not that strict in asia. I think I'd use vectron if it was mine. Many diesel euro cars get 15w-40 in the middle east and africa and they don't have issues.

Something with LL-04.

Doesn't particularly matter if its mobil 1, castrol or liquimoly.

+1 on the LL-04 spec stuff, whatever brand you can find.

Most of that gibberish is marketing lingo anyway; look for approval/license on back of container, where it should clearly state what approvals it carries.
